Dissipative Silencers

Vibro-Acoustics’ most efficient and economical designs of broadband airborne noise control for mechanical systems are dissipative silencers. Our family of silencers relies on the material properties of fibrous acoustical media to absorb sound waves and reduce the level of noise. We provide different acoustical media depending on the project requirements for acoustical performance, thermal resistance and IAQ concerns. We determine internal baffle design by the project requirements for acoustical and aerodynamic performance. This silencer family is commonly installed in a wide range of building types including commercial, educational, industrial, institutional, office, performing arts, religious, residential and utility.
